I thought I’d give a little insight into what inspires me to create my designs. People seem to love my musical designs, I love them too! Obvisously they’re inspired by music, but it’s not just music it’s a love of music. I love music, when I’m happy, sad or somewhere inbetween there’s a song out there too fit my mood. I know music is a big part of a lot of peoples lives and its helped them through various situations.

I became inspired when I visited the notting hill carnival the previous year. All the different sounds, you could practically feel the base line. It’s like you can feel the the notes bursting out of the speakers! So Speaker Blue was born! Headphones Blue came next not long after, I originally intended it as female version of Speaker Blue but since it’s been printed onto unisex t-shirts its been loved by both men and women and it’s one of the designs I’m most proud of. I didn’t have one of those drawing tablet things, I pain stakingly clicked/traced around each note and worked with different variations and positions to get to what I have today!
